Edmonton-Based Underground Rapper Begins His Next Chapter With A New Opening Single, Continuing A Decade-Long Journey In Hindi Hip-Hop
Hip-hop artist UMEED is stepping into a new chapter of his musical journey with his latest single, “NEW ERA.” Positioned as the opening record for his upcoming full-length album, the track introduces a more mature phase of the rapper’s artistic identity. Rather than simply marking another release, “NEW ERA” represents a shift in perspective, reflecting personal growth, gratitude and a renewed approach to life. With the single setting the tone for his forthcoming project, UMEED is preparing to bring together years of underground experience and a more evolved outlook under one musical direction.
Over A Decade In The Underground, UMEED Continues To Build His Own Identity
With more than ten years of experience in Hindi underground hip-hop, UMEED has steadily developed his catalogue through mixtapes, a full-length album and multiple singles. His journey has also involved performing at local clubs and participating in rap cyphers across Edmonton, where underground artists develop their craft through live performances, lyrical exchanges and independent music culture. This foundation places “NEW ERA” within a longer creative journey rather than presenting it as an isolated release. For an artist who has spent years building his presence within the underground scene, the new single signals a desire to evolve while remaining connected to the roots of his musical identity.
“NEW ERA” Reflects UMEED’s “Grown-Man Era” And A Shift In Life’s Priorities
At the heart of the new single is what UMEED describes as his “grown-man era.” The concept centres on health, gratitude and a fresh perspective on life, highlighting a more considered approach to personal and creative development. This direction gives “NEW ERA” a significance beyond its role as the album’s opening record: it introduces the mindset behind the next phase of his artistry. While the underground hip-hop landscape often celebrates ambition, competition and lyrical confidence, UMEED’s stated focus points towards a chapter shaped by maturity and appreciation for life. The single therefore serves as an introduction to the person and perspective behind the upcoming album.
Upcoming Album To Feature “RANDOM,” “BUSINESS,” “SHITU” And “BOHEMIA”
UMEED’s forthcoming full-length album is also expected to bring together several previously released underground records, including “RANDOM,” “BUSINESS,” “SHITU” and “BOHEMIA,” alongside additional tracks. By incorporating existing releases into the wider project, the album will connect different parts of his musical catalogue while introducing listeners to the direction established by “NEW ERA.” The tracklist details and official release date have not been confirmed in the information currently available, leaving further details about the project awaited. Nevertheless, the combination of familiar records and new material offers a glimpse into how UMEED intends to frame his next chapter.
An Animated “BOHEMIA” Music Video Is Next On UMEED’s Release Roadmap
Following the album rollout, UMEED is preparing an animated music video for “BOHEMIA,” adding a visual component to his upcoming releases. The planned video gives listeners another project to anticipate as the Edmonton-based rapper continues developing his independent underground presence. With “NEW ERA” introducing a more mature outlook, a forthcoming album bringing together earlier records and an animated video planned for “BOHEMIA,” UMEED’s next phase appears focused on connecting his past work with his evolving artistic vision. For listeners following Hindi hip-hop beyond the mainstream spotlight, his upcoming releases offer another opportunity to discover an artist continuing to build his journey from the underground.
