Raised in a city called Mumbai, resides the 24 y.o. Rapper, Producer and Songwriter Noizick, who is slowly emerging into the music industry, and has worked with notable amount of people. He carries his musical influences from Hip-Hop, Trap, R&B, UK Drum and Bass, Industrial Bass and UK Garage, and many other genres and their subordinates. With his unique resampling and unorthodox drum programming abilities, he’s on a mission to solidify his name in the music industry.
Past Life:
Noizick was always blessed by his parents’ musical tastes which ranged from Michael Jackson, ABBA, Boney M, Green Day, T-Pain, Akon and just to name a few.
Since his childhood, he was at the front during group singing, due to his Alto/Tenor vocal range, which boosted his interest for music and the inner works for it. he was always the front man for the singing teacher since he was the only boy to reach higher notes effortlessly. Gradually, Noizick gained interest in learning guitar and immediately took guitar classes, and worked his way around getting small slots to perform, but eventually, had to leave it behind due to his exams.
The Origin:
Noizick took interest in rapping since the age 10, after his elder cousin played him ‘Spacebound’ by Eminem at a family function: and took interest in music production at age 13-14, after he heard the album ‘Recess’ by Skrillex for the first time. Noizick started off as an EDM producer, on his old Compaq laptop.
After his old laptop giving up on him, Noizick found his way around and started making Hip-Hop music on FL Mobile on his Motorola smartphone. He had his JBL earphones as his recording microphone and his smartphone handling the intense audio engineering right from production, to album arts.
The Works:
Noizick’s first release was titled ‘Trap Trail’ on 17th March, 2020, and got himself off to a great launch. One of his friends ended up linking him with another local rapper, and ended up laying a 16-bar verse in a video called “Project Lockdown” on Instagram.
On 9th June, 2021, he released his debut 4-track EP titled, ‘DAYLYTE’, containing self-produced tracks with no features, and was made a SoundCloud exclusive. While the EP may lack the studio-quality mixing, it’s the passion that this EP radiates with songs containing some amazing sampling, and unique song structures.
With many singles releasing, leading to the potential project, On 3rd March 2022, Noizick finally drops his debut 8-track album titled ‘Mayhem’, containing some of the most dark and gritty production from Noizick himself, and got 3 features on his album from SWARAJ, Inspectah Gracious, and MixedByMohit. the song titled ‘421’ with Ambernath rapper SWARAJ, was playlisted by Rolling Stone twice, while, ‘WNV’ featuring Inspectah Gracious, was played on Radio City Freedom.
The album was then treated with 6-track EP containing 3 Chopped and slowed, 2 Instrumentals, and an ATM/Crescendo remix done by Thane rapper CHRSTO.
Noizick has produced and engineered a handful of songs in his lifetime; most notably ‘Infinity’ and ‘Uh Uh Freeverse’ by SWARAJ, ‘Intro- Ego’ and ‘Interlude – Id & Superego’ by Inspectah Gracious, off of her ‘Perspective EP; mixed and mastered her song ‘Hush Haters’, and took over the production and vocals on ‘Sao Paulo Freeverse’ by Pune native DJ and Producer, SPYR.
As of 31st Jan, 2024, Noizick has released a single titled, ‘Lamington Rd.’ featuring Kerela rapper URBNRXGGA, and New Delhi Producer and vocalist Yxng Phxntom.
The Road Ahead:
With networking with a lot of great artists/DJs over the course of time, Noizick’s upcoming projects takes a sonical and lyrical shift, while still maintaining that dark, gritty and hollow atmosphere throughout, and reflecting on his past mistakes. The stakes for the new projects has been higher than ever; this time, exploring genres, it’s sub-genres, and emphasizing on the production quality at it’s best.
