Darpan Sarkar: Rising Music Talent from New Delhi Set to Debut EP in 2025

Darpan Sarkar, known professionally as Rose, is a highly talented singer, songwriter, and music producer from New Delhi, India. Trained in Indian classical music, Darpan comes from a family of accomplished musicians—his mother, Mrs. Rupa Sarkar, is an Indian classical singer, and his father, Mr. Shambhunath Sarkar, is a well-known Bengali folk singer. Under the guidance of Ustad Nadeem Khan from the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, Darpan honed his skills as a classical singer from the young age of 4.

In addition to his classical training, Darpan has become a versatile multi-instrumentalist, mastering instruments like the bass guitar, electric guitar, rabab, sarod, tabla, harmonium, and dotara. He first gained widespread attention by posting his performances on social media, quickly building a loyal following.

With collaborations in both Bollywood and the hip-hop scene, he is set to release back-to-back original tracks this year, culminating in his highly anticipated debut EP, which will drop in January 2025.

As Darpan continues to push the boundaries of his musical talent, fans can expect a fusion of classical influences with contemporary sounds, making him one of the most exciting new artists to watch in the Indian music industry.
